Secondo Fuoco is an investigation into slags, a reflection on the multiple souls of matter: its mineral origin, re-obtained by smelting processes and its artificiality. Secondo Fuoco collection combing the impurity of the scoria and the purity of the bronze. They have chosen to focus on metals by product aims to enhancing them, by preserving its conformation, its aesthetic and its sensorial aspects without altering its state or nature. In the foundry field slag identify a solidified foamy mass thrown off that floats on the surface of molten metal often composed mainly by silicates of aluminium and calcium, rock components and metal oxides derived from the melting process. With the support of Fonderia Artistica Versiliese they explored the potential of the scoria in a link between the traditional approach to foundry culture and the spontaneity of metals. The casted objects, in limited edition, have linear even brutalist shapes where waste and imperfection become part of the collection. The works reveal themselves to the physical interaction: formal rigidity flows into the curiosity of the person who touches, follows and reads the harmonic movement of the surfaces by rediscovering the story behind the product.
